October 30 Day Challenge
October 2021 30 Day Challenge
Alright. Part 2. Along with continuing on my budget journey I will be adding a 30 day challenge as well. As a normal part of my life I try to expand out and have done some 30 day challenges before. Most of these ones I do are pulled from the internet and I have no idea where they came from originally as it has been months but feel free to follow along.
As it is a 30 day challenge and yesterday was super crazy I
will begin it on the 2nd instead of the first- I may also do them out
of order....
Day 1: Catch up with an old friend or Relative
-Called Sarah and caught up with what was happening in our lives.
Day 2: Spend at least an hour doing something creative
-I wrote a story for an hour.
Day 3: Make a list of everything you are grateful for
1. I am grateful to have a job that I enjoy that is able to keep a roof over my head and food on my table.
2. I am grateful to be in contact with most of my family, I talk to my parents once a week and my cousin is my best friend.
3. I am grateful I have good friends, though not many in number they make up for it in quality.
4.
I am grateful to be able to have the freedom to do as I wish as I know
many women my age around the world can not say the same.
5. I am grateful for my pets, caring for them has taught me patience, love and responsibility.
Day 4: Don't use your phone today
As
a person with ADHD I have apps on my phone that keep me on track along
with reading so I did not do a complete shut down but I did not do
anything extra on it for a whole day.
Day 5: Cook yourself a healthy meal
My Weekly meal this week is Vietnamese Rainbow noodles
Day 6: Go for a long walk in the park
I took Tonto out and we did a couple laps
Day 7: Get up early and listen to some music
I didn't get up early but I did listen to some new music on my way into work. Normally I listen to music to, from and at work.
Day 8: Research an unfamiliar topic
I
spent way longer than I should have to day watching TikTok's made by an
Orthodox Jewish couple speaking about how their lives differ from
others.
Day 9: Practice Yoga
I spent a few minutes before work stretching out
Day 10:Have a long shower or a relaxing bubble bath

Day 15:Watch your favorite comedy movie
I watched Get Him to the Greek
Day 16: Learn a new game
I
started playing this game called "Bad Chess" it uses all the same
pieces as normal chess but they are placed in random spots instead of
the traditional configuration
Day 17: Make an achievable to-do list
I broke down my list of 20 things into smaller and more manageable pieces
Day 18: Spend some Face-time with Family or Friends
Every Tuesday my friends and I have D&D night

Day 22: Have a "Me" day
Day 23: Walk for 30 minutes a day for the rest of the challenge
Day 24: Plan your dream vacation
Day 25: Get out and feel the sunshine or rain on your face
Day 26: Smile at a stranger
Day 27: Clean out your email in-box
Day 28: Let go of guilt
Day 29: Cross one item off your achievable to-do list
Day 30: Write down one positive thing about your day before going to bed
-I worked a crazy amount of hours in the last week so I was unable to complete them all.
I feel pretty go about this first challenge as some of the things on here I already do on a daily to weekly basis.
Part
2-2, Do not be alarmed by the numbers you will see this month. I am
trying something called Cash Envelopes. Meaning every payday I will
calculate how much I need over the next 2 weeks for automatic payments
and keep that in my account. The rest I will be Pulling out and putting
into Envelopes for budgeting purposes. I will keep everything updated
here including how much goes into each envelope and how much is spent
from each Envelope.
